Our Community Your University Exhibition
Visit our exciting multi-media exhibition showcasing the University's first 50 years and its future.
Your University is turning 50, and we are celebrating with an exhibition at the Newcastle Museum.
Spanning over 40 lineal metres at the Newcastle Museum this exhibition will tell stories associated with Newcastle's foundation, history and events. There will be audio and visual material to supplement and support the exhibition and interactive screens for you to explore.
The exhibition will include four zones:
- Celebrating our community and your pivotal role in our history and our future;
- Celebrating our leaders who have shaped the University and are among our academics, researchers, professional staff and students;
- Celebrating our graduates who form the centrepiece of UON's story; and
- Celebrating our future - looking to the next 50 years for the University and our regions.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
