BLACK WHITE & RESTIVE | SYMPOSIUM
A day-long symposium in which leading academics, curators and artists discuss cross-cultural engagements in contemporary art. Speakers include Trevor Jamieson, Kim Mahood, Ian McLean, Djon Mundine, Margo Neale and Una Rey(see website for a full list of speakers). The panel discussion will explore curatorial visions, the history of cross-cultural exhibitions, the ethics and politics of collaboration, creative expression, cultural authority and persistent taboos as well as imagining cross-cultural futures in the arts.
