Melbourne Alumni Chapter invites you to join graduate and ABC 774's Lindy Burns for an evening debate featuring a panel of Alumni Thought Leaders.
Debate topics:
- Bricks and Mortar education is the past - online learning on a smart phone is the way of the future
- Newcastle has a sense of community - Melbourne doesn't
- True or False: Education is when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don't
Alumni Thought Leaders:
- Lindy Burns - Moderator - One of Australia's senior radio broadcasters, Evenings Presenter on 774 ABC Melbourne and ABC Victoria.
- Professor Caroline McMillen - Vice-Chancellor of the University of Newcastle, with more than 30 years' experience in the higher education sector.
- Heath Francis OAM - Winner of 11 gold medals representing Australia in three Paralympics and IPC World Championships and the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
- Dr Janeen Webb - Multiple award winning author, editor and critic. Internationally recognised for her critical work in speculative fiction.
- Archbishop Philip Frier - The 13th Anglican Archbishop of Melbourne. His ministry has involved ministering to people in wide variety of context, both formal and informal.
- Ewan McEoin - Director of his own company, Propeller Studio. Propeller works with industry to develop and deliver projects and strategies that facilitate communication, stimulate collaborations and create innovation.
