On Sunday 5 May, the 'happiest 5km on the planet' is coming to Newcastle Jockey Club at Broadmeadow. The Swisse Color Run is making its way around the country and now it's Newcastle's turn to join in with all the fun of this colourful event.

Make-A-Wish Australia, which grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions, has been selected as an official charity partner for the event. The organisation is looking for volunteers to donate their time before and during the event.

Volunteer positions vary from prepping the participant race kits to launching colour on the day. As long as you love colour and having fun, Make-A-Wish would love to have you on board.

For each volunteering session Make-A-Wish fills, the Celebrate Life Foundation will donate $150 to the charity.
