Run Newcastle Volunteers

Volunteer at Run Newcastle

Run Newcastle is a mass participation fun run with 12km and 6km runs, and a 6km walk, starting and finishing at Newcastle Foreshore on Sunday, 10 November. Likely to attract over 4,000 runners, this event is being conducted in support of the John Hunter Hospital's Children's Hospital Adolescent Ward, with 100% of entry fees being donated to the hospital.

Volunteers are needed to bring the event to life. Run Newcastle is looking for community groups and organisations to take ownership over a particular section of the event and get their community involved to raise funds for this local cause. Community groups who wish to participate will have the opportunity to coordinate areas of the race such as a water station, bag storage, registration and more.

Run Newcastle will form a part of the expansion of Cotton On Foundation's Run Australia, joining the successful Run Geelong and Run Ballarat events, which returned over $650,000 to Children's Health projects in those communities in 2012 and saw a combined total of 16,000 runners taking part.
