Vice-Chancellor to represent University at Vinnies CEO Sleepout
Did you know there are more than 100,000 Australians who find themselves homeless each night? On June 20, the University of Newcastle’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Caroline McMillen, will join more than a thousand CEOs and leaders nationwide sleeping on cardboard to raise much-needed funds for Vinnies.
Funds raised by Hunter region CEOs at the CEO Sleepout this year will be directed towards existing Vinnies programs to alleviate homelessness. These include supporting the Matthew Talbot Centre at Wickham, the Coachstop Caravan Park at Maitland, and families struggling with the rising costs of housing and living.
The community can support Professor McMillen as she represents the University by donating here, with anything over $2 tax deductible.
