UoN Student Awarded at 2013 Mosman Youth Art Prize
Felicity Hilton's photographic series Later has received third place in the tertiary section of Mosman Art Gallery's 2013 Youth Art Prize.
Felicity is currently studying Fine Art and Teaching at the University of Newcastle.
Initiated in 1988 by internationally renowned artist and local resident Ken Done AM, the Mosman Youth Art Prize is open to all young people aged 12-21 years and is one of the richest Youth Art Prizes in Australia.
The Youth Prize follows in the footsteps of the Mosman Art Prize, one of the oldest and most prestigious local government art awards in Australia. Established in 1947, the first Mosman Art Prize was judged by the acclaimed artist Lloyd Rees, and won by a very young Margaret Olley.
The Mosman Youth Art Prize is aimed at encouraging the creative talents of young people and providing a showcase for their works.
Felicity's work can be seen along with other selected entries at Mosman Art Gallery throughout June.
