Maitland Riverlights Festival

Riverlights Multicultural Festival

On October 12th the Maitland Heritage Mall and Riverwalk will again play host to our annual celebration of cultural diversity.

Riverlights Multicultural Festival is filled with music, dance and art, cultural performances and fashion parades, night markets, dragon boat racing on the river, panel discussion, Riverbank outdoor cinema, and the Cultural Village where you can touch, taste and try different cultures from around the world - collect stamps from them all in your own Cultural Passport.

Highlights of the 2013 performance program include: Gleny Rae, Raduga, Azadoota, Berias Masseque, Dangerboy's Fire Show, Muay Thai Kick Boxing and Capoeira demonstrations.

After dark the festival really comes alive. Rhythm Brazil lifts the musical tempo, and hundreds of floating lanterns transform the Hunter River in a mesmerising and unforgettable family experience.
All are welcome. Entry is FREE.

Riverlights is a family-friendly and alcohol-free event. Wheel-chair and accessible toilets are available.

WHEN: From 4pm Saturday, 12 October
