
Public Event: Barton Lecture
Presented by the University of Newcastle's Office of External Relations, the fifth Barton Lecture will be delivered by the Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP.
Malcolm Turnbull is a member of the House of Representatives and is currently Shadow Minister for Communications and Broadband. He was Leader of the Opposition from 16 September 2008 to 1 December 2009 and prior to that Shadow Treasurer.
An Arts/Law graduate, Mr Turnbull was a Rhodes Scholar who also went on to take a further law degree at Oxford.
He has reached the pinnacle of several fields - the law, journalism, finance - and has brought his influence and intelligence to bear on a variety of civic concerns.
This is a FREE public lecture open to the community. Registration is essential as seats are limited.
