‘Prelude’ – the Bachelor of Fine Art Graduate Show 2012
Prelude, the University of Newcastle's Bachelor of Fine Art Graduate Show, is on at Watt Space from November 21.
A prelude can be understood as a device that paves the way for a more significant movement. For this year's graduating Bachelor of Fine Art students, this conclusion of their degree is in actuality a prologue for what is to come.
The exhibition title of Prelude effectively reflects this idea, conjuring anticipation for the future artistic endeavours of these students.
Prelude showcases the diversity of art practices, techniques and concepts employed and explored by the graduating students. The exhibition is both a celebration of years of artistic development as well as a preface for tomorrow.
Join the exhibitors as they show a range of work completed over the last 12 months of their study.
Prelude is part of the University of Newcastle's 2012 student exhibitions showcasing student work. The exhibition will be opened by Dr Angela Philp on November 22 at 6.30pm.
The exhibition is open to the public. Entry is free.
