The Newcastle Youth Leading the World Community Forum on 29 November is an opportunity to listen and be inspired by the young participants in the OzGreen's Youth Leading the World program running from 27-29 November 2012.
Youth Leading the World is a three day intensive process with youth exploring local and global issues of sustainability, measuring and understanding their own eco-footprint and working on action plans to make change in their lives, schools and communities.
Youth Leading the World is now in its fourth year set to run in 50 locations. Congresses are held simultaneously, digitally linked across multiple Australian and global locations.
An invitation is being extended to leaders of government, local business, indigenous leaders, parents, teachers, principals and families to come listen and be inspired at the Community Forum.
There will be opportunity for guests to engage with the youth around their plans, offer support for strengthening what they want to do, as well as opportunities for youth to engage in what other individuals and groups are already doing locally. The youth participants will design and lead the entire Community Forum.
The Community Forum is open to the public. Admission is free.
