Lose the Booze this October and support Hunter Life Education
Run by Hunter Life Education, Ocsober is a fundraising initiative that encourages people to give up alcohol for the month of October. The money raised supports local schools in the Hunter region to attend Life Education.
Hunter Life Education works in partnership with schools, community organisations and the Hunter Business Community to promote the importance of healthy lifestyles - to guarantee children are empowered to make healthy choices for a future free from the harmful effects of drugs.
Every year the Life Education message is delivered to over 30,000 children through Primary, Secondary and Preschools in the Hunter Region.
This year Ocsober aims to raise $1,000,000 to help Life Education and their educational mascot, Healthy Harold, go into even more schools across Australia. Ocsober is also an important opportunity to highlight the growing danger of binge drinking and alcohol abuse, particularly among young Australians.
