Engage With Us - Central Coast

The Central Coast is more than its spectacular beaches and pristine nature reserves: it is home to a vibrant and creative community who come together to enjoy the best that the region has to offer.

The University of Newcastle - Central Coast is proud to be part of this dynamic community, and to partner with a diverse range of business, industry, community and sporting groups, to drive innovation and build the intellectual and creative capital of the Central Coast.

Building partnerships to assist in the growth of the Central Coast is a key strategic aim of the University of Newcastle. With our staff and students as our richest resources, and by drawing on the knowledge which flourishes throughout the Central Coast, we can work together to identify goals, drive innovation and form sustainable partnerships that have widespread and mutual benefits.

The arrival of the National Broadband Network to the Central Coast, along with a number of large urban development and economic revitalisation projects planned or underway, is creating a renewed sense of optimism in the region.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the NSW Government’s Central Coast Regional Development Corporation and the University, is a major plank of the NSW Government’s plan to revitalise Gosford, and the recent investment of more than $20 million by the University - enhancing teaching, learning and research facilities at its Central Coast campus at Ourimbah - are some of the ways the University is working with the community towards a bright and innovative future for the Central Coast.

Engage Central Coast is a space designed to help our local and global communities to engage, connect, share and work with us. Think of Engage Central Coast as the University’s virtual ‘front door’.
