The University of Newcastle has launched the 2013 Annual Appeal, to raise money for the Shaping Futures Scholarship Fund. Established in 2011, the Fund provides financial assistance to academically gifted students from a low socioeconomic (financially disadvantaged) background, rural students, Indigenous Australians, students with a carer or family responsibilities, and students with disabilities.

Alumni can directly help a student achieve their goals and dreams.  Each Shaping Futures Scholarship is worth $4,000 and makes huge difference in our students' lives.
