Childhood Stuttering: The Importance of Early Intervention

Sarita Koushik recently completed her doctoral studies in speech pathology at the University of Newcastle.  Her studies over the last 11 years have centred on the treatment of stuttering, specialising in treating early childhood stuttering.

In this talk from TEDxNewy in 2011, Sarita talks about her research into the Lidcombe Program for treating childhood stuttering and how it can be modified to best help treat children with this condition.
