Central Coast helping to drive Mariners to next victory
Following the Central Coast Mariners¹ 2013 Hyundai A-League Championship triumph, the Club has set a target to reach 5,000 Members for next season.
Already, over 3,200 individuals have pledged their support to the Coast¹s only professional sporting team, which is a solid 30 per cent increase on
the same time last year.
With ten weeks still to go until the Mariners battle Western Sydney Wanderers in round one of the 2013/14 season at Gosford¹s Bluetongue Stadium, Central Coast Mariners Head Coach, Graham Arnold, is confident the Club can lock in another 1,800 Members and achieve its Member goal.
"At the end of last season the Club had 3,600 Members," Arnold explained.
"We are already approaching that figure for next season with over two months until kick-off in our A-League defence, which is fantastic."
While Arnold believes the success of the team on the field is contributing to the Club¹s healthy Member start, he also thinks the Club is benefitting from its hard work away from the football pitch.
"We have a number of prominent Central Coast people including Julie Goodwin, Troy Waters, Liesl Tesch and Dani and Nath from Sea FM publicly backing our efforts, and we have also established partnerships with organisations like the University of Newcastle - Central Coast," he said.
"The squad has also been out and about in the region this off season too, interacting with fans and engaging with local Clubs, charities and businesses."
The Mariners expect a significant increase in home attendances next season with six high profile matches against NSW-based opponents. The Western Sydney Wanderers, Sydney FC and Newcastle Jets will all visit Bluetongue Stadium twice throughout season nine of the A-League.
The only way to guarantee a seat at each of the Mariners¹ home matches is through Club Membership. The Club have a range of Membership options available, and a payment plan system in place to make Membership affordable and easy.
