Why study applied management (nursing) at UoN?

The Master of Applied Management (Nursing) is intended for graduate nurses who wish to further their knowledge and advance their skills in clinical leadership and management. The program will be of particular interest to nurses working in or planning to move into inter-professional clinical team leadership or nursing leadership and management positions.

The Master of Applied Management (Nursing) is offered fully online to international and domestic students.

The Master of Applied Management (Nursing) is intended for graduate nurses who wish to further their knowledge and advance their skills in management. The program will be of particular interest to nurses working in or planning to move into management positions in nursing.

Major studies include Leadership and Management in Practice, Leading Change in Practice, Research Methods, Foundations in Business Analysis, Strategic Management, Accounting and Financial Management, Human Resource Development.

This degree can be completed over two trimesters full time or part time equivalent depending upon course availability (most courses are only offered once a year). All courses are offered on a trimester (3 terms of teaching) basis. Nurses can begin their program of study in any trimester.

Candidates need to complete 80 units, 30 units from Core, 10 units from Group A (offered by the School of Nursing and Midwifery) and 40 units from Group B Management courses (offered through GraduateSchool.com).

There is an early exit option for a Graduate Certificate of Applied Management (Nursing) award at 40 units, 20 units from Core and 20 units from Group B.
