You will gain core financial management skills, an understanding of Australian and international financial markets, knowledge of derivative assets and markets, analytical skills for interpreting and analysing developments in finance practice, and applied knowledge of various specialised aspects of the finance industry.

You will take two foundation courses, corporate finance and investment analysis to help you develop financial analytical skills and understand how to make investment and financing decisions. The other two capstone courses develop fund management and risk management skills.
This program meets the RG146 knowledge and skills requirements of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) in the following areas: financial planning, securities, derivatives, managed investments, foreign exchange, superannuation, deposit products and non-cash payment facilities, generic knowledge and skills. If you wish to gain ASIC RG146 compliance, you will need to complete the courses listed below:
