Strategy Analyst

Professionals in this vocation are responsible for analysing market trends and developing strategies to overcome possible problems and maximise returns. They use their skills to analyse trends observed through customer insights, segmentation, product mix and buying behaviour, identify and forecast any problems that may arise from this information, manage customer and research data and write reports on this information, support management programs and research potential new sales solution ideas.

Strategic Analysts need to have strong analytical, statistical, computer and communication skills, knowledge in sales, be able to work as part of a team and work well under pressure and to deadlines. Tertiary qualifications in a mathematical or statistical area are essential for this type of career. It is useful to attempt to gain some paid or unpaid experience in a similar role while at university to increase chances of employment.
