The Deputy Principal is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the school and for the welfare of all students and staff. For example, the Deputy Principal may play a more active role overseeing school behaviour management programs, the daily organisation of staffing including relief staff. In some smaller primary schools the Assistant Principal is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the school and for the welfare of all students and staff.
