Business Relationship Manager

Business relationship managers are employed to manage an organisations relationship and interaction with its clients, suppliers and other stakeholders. This may mean acting as point of contact, responding to questions and problems, providing advice and generally ensuring that the client continues to engage the services of the organisation. Business relationship managers are skilled at anticipating their clients' needs and being able to form a close and thorough understanding of their business and product. Clients rely on their business relationship manager to communicate their needs and to keep them up to date with developments. For this reason business relationship managers need to have good industry specific technical knowledge and communication skills to liaise with the client and with members of their own organisation. The business and management skills gained within a business degree prepare graduates well for this type of work. Market knowledge is also important.
