Studying the combined degree Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)/Bachelor of Business will qualify you with two degrees after just five years of full-time study.
The degree is a wide-ranging, including study of diverse aspects of power generation and distribution, telecommunicaitons, signal processing, and analogue and digital electronics whilst also providing the skills for work in many areas of business, and the opportunity to progress in a business management career.
The additional business management skills in this combined degree give you access to a broader skill base that will be of particular interest to those looking for a career in engineering management or in the commercialisation of new technologies. A combined degree means that you can achieve two qualifications in one go. You will have the advantage of graduating with two degrees, in less time than it would take to complete them separately.
For example, if you are interested in both arts and science, you can complete the requirements for both degrees by choosing the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science. After four years of full time study, you will graduate with two degree qualifications. Study them separately and it can take you up to six years full-time.
A combined degree will increase your career options, skills and knowledge, enhancing your academic and professional qualities, making you more desirable to employers. You will have more variety in your studies and satisfy more than one of your interests – you may be keen on drama and biology, this way you can study both.
