The Bachelor of Visual Communication Design provides hands-on experience in a wide range of graphic design techniques allowing you to graduate with an impressive portfolio of your own work.

When you study visual communication and design at the University of Newcastle, you will have full access to advanced design equipment including industry standard software and have the opportunity to develop connections with industry professionals through our leading academics.

Teaching is delivered through a range of interactive methods including workshops and tutorials along with special lectures delivered by guest speakers working within the industry.

You will also have the opportunity to undertake work placement and projects throughout your visual communication design degree. In your final year you will choose from an industry placement or an on-campus project to produce a portfolio that can be used for professional recognition in the workforce.
