Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Practical Experience

We think it is really important to put the theory you learn in the classroom into practice in the workplace. Clinical placements in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy start early in the program, and you will complete over 1,000 hours over the course of your studies.

Clinical experience is undertaken in a variety of health settings, which may include:

  • community health centres
  • hospital outpatient clinics
  • hospital wards
  • private practices
  • rehabilitation units

The substantial supervised clinical practice you will complete across the physiotherapy degree will include mandatory placements, some of which will be in rural areas and health settings quite different from the Hunter region.
