The University of Newcastle has a 17 chair dental clinic 'The Oral Health Centre' with digital radiography, computerised patient records and highly qualified support staff to help you learn. These learning facilities provide you with hands-on experience throughout the degree, preparing you to enter the field as a dental hygienist.

This degree is accredited with the Australian Dental Council. Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the Dental Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
