An essential part of your nuclear medicine degree incorporates significant hands on experience in the workplace where you will work with real patients to consolidate your knowledge and demonstrate competency and professional development.

Your 25 weeks of professional placement throughout your degree will be supervised by qualified nuclear medicine scientists.

As part of the professional placements program you will undertake placements in public and private centres, which may be located in the Hunter Region or NSW and other states in Australia. Students may have the opportunity to complete a placement in New Zealand or United Kingdom.
