Bachelor of Design (Architecture)

Practical Experience

Our design studio courses use an innovative problem-based approach to learning where a range of concerns (technical, ecological, historical and managerial) are integrated into the process of architectural design. You'll have 24-hour access to some of Australia's finest facilities; the Architectural Design Studio, state-of-the-art Architectural Design Workshop and cutting edge Digital Design Studio. Our architecture degrees culminate in spectacular public exhibitions showcasing students' work to the professional community.

A well timed study break allows you to pursue industry experience

There is no professional placement requirement associated with the Bachelor of Design (Architecture), however students are strongly encouraged to take a minimum one year study break between the Bachelor of Design (Architecture) and Master of Architecture in order to travel and/or gain experience in architect practices here in Australia and overseas.
