UoN Prep Bridging Courses

The UoN Prep Bridging courses are designed to support you in your future studies whether that be an undergraduate degree or one of our foundation programs. The UoN Prep Bridging courses available on-campus at the University of Newcastle typically run for approximately 15 hours over one week, and are offered during the break in the lead-up to the start of each Semester. There is also a three-week online course available, Academic Survival Skills Online.

Below is a selection of courses that may be offered for Semester 1. To view the courses available to you, click on the link below that applies to your study option.

For students who are commencing a degree, or who are currently enrolled in their first year of a degree,  the following range of UoN Prep Bridging courses may be offered at our Newcastle, Central Coast and Port Macquarie campuses. We also offer one online UoN Prep Bridging course, Academic Survival Skills Online.

The mathematics and chemistry courses are offered as refresher courses only and, given the duration of the courses, they are unable to provide the assumed knowledge equivalent to Year 12 study in those course areas.

If you enrol in an on-campus UoN Prep Bridging course, you will also need to "self-enrol" via the Blackboard site for the course. Blackboard is an online learning resource that gives you access to course materials at any time.
