Chaplains are available at our Newcastle campus at Callaghan Monday to Friday between 10am-2pm. To see a chaplain of a certain faith please make an appointment.

To see a chaplain

Appointments are not necessary. Monday through to Friday between 10am and 2pm, at least one chaplain will be available to offer guidance and assistance in personal prayer, spirituality and a host of other real life problems.

If you want to see a chaplain of a particular faith or at a specific time you can make an appointment by phoning 4921 5571.


The chaplaincy centre at Newcastle campus at Callaghan is located in HA152a in the Hunter Building, opposite the Huxley Library.

Chaplains also visit the Conservatorium at the Newcastle City precinct regularly.

Worship and discussion groups

Worship Services, including Catholic Eucharist are held regularly, as well as the Study Groups listed below.

Times and dates are posted in the Chaplaincy Centre and advertised around the campus.
