If there is an emergency on our campuses or facilities you will be informed using various communication channels.
Official closings/cancellations
If we are closed or classes are cancelled you will be informed by:
- a message on our web site homepage
- a SMS alert to registered mobile phone numbers (the number you have listed in HRonline)
- notification to media outlets
Emergency situations
If there is an emergency situation you will be informed using one or more of the methods below. If you are in imminent danger, or in the event of a lock down, all available methods of communication may be enacted. These include:
- a message on our web site homepage
- a SMS alert to registered mobile phone numbers (the number you have listed in HRonline)
- email to all staff and students
- voicemail to all campus phones
- notification to media outlets
- building Emergency Warning Intercommunication Systems (EWIS)
- word of mouth
