Benchmarking

Assessing our performance against peer institutions within the national and international Higher Education sector enables us to measure the success of our NeW Directions 2013 -2015 Strategic Plan. Benchmarking ensures the quality of our staffing profile represents the mix of skills and knowledge required to meet these challenges. It also ensures the quality of our programs and courses, teaching and research and service areas such as finance, human resources and the library.

Benchmarking results

Benchmarking reports assist the university to measure and improve quality by mapping its performance against recognised benchmarks. In recent years the University has performed extremely well in many of these benchmarking activities, ranking particularly highly in program quality, research quality, and student satisfaction when ranked against other national and international universities.

How we benchmark

Benchmarking UON performance is a key step to ensuring quality teaching, research and services throughout our University. Constant review of our practices guarantees our world class institution continues to evolve and provide first-rate services to our students, community and industry partners.

Several national and international surveys, network associations and data collections provide opportunities for the UON to evaluate processes and practices in relation to our peers, such as
