This course will explore the relationship between theology of creation and ecological conscience. It will describe how the ecological conscience is a result of a spiritual heritage of the theology of creation. Creation and care for environmental awareness are two sides of the same coin.
ObjectivesUpon completion of this course students will be expected to: 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the theology of creation; 2. Articulate a clear definition of globalization and its various philosophical-religious perceptions; 3. Describe the meaning of Ecology; 4. Explore the contribution of Christian Faith to the Ecology; | ||
ContentThemes will include: Creation in OT; Christ universal redemption; philosophy of nature; Christian anthropology; Church's social teachings; Vatican II; spirituality of Saint Francis of Assisi; global ecological emergences; Global Church as response to global challenges; Christian spirituality and ecology. | ||
