| Transition | SPTH2220 will not be offered after 2010. Students enrolled in the program at the present time (i.e. 2009) will be advised of this change, in order to identify any students whose planned sequence of enrolment might need adjustment. Students who fail SPTH2220 in 2010 will be able to undertake SPTH2001 instead. For students who fail SPTH2220 due to failure in the stuttering components, no transitional problems are envisaged, as the content coverage is sufficiently similar. Transitional arrangements are more complex for students who who have not successfully completed SPTH2220 due to non-completion in the child advanced speech topics component (including cleft palate and craniofacial anomalies). Students who fail SPTH2220 in 2010 due to failure in the advanced speech disorders including cleft palate/craniofacial component will be able to enrol in SPTH2004 in 2012 (as this course content will be sufficiently similar). However, this may prolong the students program completion and therefore an alternative assignment will be offered for this component. Should the student fail the alternative assignment, they will be required to accept the alternative arrangements, that is, enrolling in SPTH2004 in 2012. |
