This course will involve an analysis of theoretical issues and/or research methodologies applicable to Religious Studies.

Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to demonstrate:
1. understanding of the methodological issues involved in research in Religious Studies;
2. comprehension of a range of theoretical issues in Religious Studies;
3. skills in performing a research task at Honours level;
4. ability to write a research essay at Honours level.
Content This course will involve an analysis of theoretical issues and/or research methodologies applicable to Religious Studies. This will be provided through a series of seminars, which may focus on a particular theme or on a range of methodological and theoretical issues related to research in the humanities.

Assumed Knowledge The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program requires successful completion of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Science or equivalent, with a major in as field relevant to their proposed Honours study and at least a credit average in the field in their undergraduate program.
