Provides students with Quality Management in Health Care. The philosophy and how it relates to health care organisations. Students will be taught the statistical tools to collect, analyse and present quality Management in Health Care related data.

Objectives 1. Develop an understanding of the philosohpy of Managing Quality in Health Care;
2. Obtain knowledge of how to continuously improve processes;
3. Obtain knowledge of how to monitor processes;
4. Develop an understanding of the methods in experimental design;
Content 1. An introduction to the philosophy of Managing Quality in Health Care, with an emphasis on the Deming philosophy;
2. covers an understanding of variability through statistical thinking;
3. Explains th erole of quality improvement teams in Managing Quality in Health Care;
4. Details the seven tools of quality control;
5. Discusses the roles of standards and benchmarking;
6. Addresses regression analysis and experimental design;
