This course will enable students to take a Public Health project in a topic of interest to themselves. It will provide the opportunity to explore in depth a topic of Public Health significance under the guidance of a supervisor from the Public Health Academic staff.
A learning contract will be negotiated between the student and their supervisor at the commencement of the semester the student is enrolled. It is envisaged that a minimum of monthly meetings will be held with the student's supervisor.
The project may entail an in-depth review of the literature in the topic area or an analysis of an existing data set. This will be clearly set out in a learning contract to be draw up between the Academic supervisor and the student.

Objectives To enable the student to undertake a project in an area of interest related to public health.
-demonstrate the ability to define a specific area of special interest to you in the Public Health ares;
-demonstrate the ability to think critically about area of special interest to you in the Public Health area;
-present a critical analysis of the relevant literature in a special area of special interest;
-undertake a secondary analysis of data in an area of Public health.
