This course forms part of an Australian Psychological Society accredited sequence.
PSYC4810, PSYC4815A and PSYC4815B together form a fourth year non honours research project in psychology. The courses entail the conduct, analysis and reporting of a piece of original empirical research. This research is carried out under the supervision of a member of the academic staff of the School of Psychology.
Students CANNOT take PSYC4815A with ANY of the following courses:
PSYC4090A, PSYC4090B, PSYC4120, PSYC4220, PSYC4801A, PSYC4801B, PSYC4802A, PSYC4802B, PSYC6781A, or PSYC6781B.

Objectives On successful completion of this course students will further develop their:

1. psychological research skills including use of appropriate research instruments and data analysis,
2. scientific writing skills,
3. capacity to critically evaluate research data,
4. present information in written format in an interesting and comprehensible manner with appropriate interpretation and evaluation.
