This course forms part of an Australian Psychological Society accredited sequence.
Practitioners present students with case studies to help them understand and think critically about important aspects of psychological care/service provision.
| Objectives | At the conclusion of this course, students should have an applied understanding of the following aspects of psychological service/care provision, across a range of settings: 1. the importance of history and context, and how to take a comprehensive history, 2. how to undertake a comprehensive yet purposeful assessment / needs analysis, 3. factors involved in evidence-based treatment / interventions, 4. the processes of job application |

| Content | Important aspects of this course address: establishing rapport, taking a history, assessment, developing treatment plan, interagency/multidisciplinary involvement, family/carer involvement and assessing outcomes. Applying for a job. | ||
