Encompasses the dual themes of discussing significant contemporary international business issues and analysing case studies in international business that reflect these issues. Current issues include the implications of the internet and electronic commerce, the harmonisation of international business regulations, strategic alliances and the future of the global firm, regionalisation and international business opportunities, competitive strategies for small and medium sized firms in a global economy.
| Objectives | To provide students with the many facets of international business knowledge required to recognise and analyse changes occurring in the international business arena and to take advantage of such changes. Successful completion of this course will provide students with an enhanced ability to integrate knowledge from different discipline areas and to use this knowledge to analyse opportunities and problems facing international business. The interrelationship between discipline areas and their contribution to international business practice is stressed. | ||||||
