Description
Using the concept of woman-centredness, this course provides opportunities for students to continue translating theory into practice during continuity of care experiences with childbearing women in maternity units and the community. It is the fourth in a suite of six professional experience courses that is designed to prepare students for registration as a midwife. The course provides intermediate, progressive theory and skills development through simulated learning and midwifery professional experience, with particular emphasis on working with pregnant women in continuity.
