Introduces the world's oceans, which offer a wide range of environmental conditions to support marine life. Specific topics studied include the ocean environment, marine habitat types, classification and description of marine organisms, ecology of marine life and human impact on the marine environment.
Students who have passed MARI2900 may not enrol in MARI2300. Students who have passed MARI2900 can not count MARI2300 towards their degree.
In order to participate in this course, students must complete a compulsory Workplace Health and Safety requirement. Students will receive full information on this compulsory course component in the course outline provided by the school.
