This course is designed to develop in students a critical understanding of selected theory and theorists in human resource management and employment relations.

Content

The topics considered in this course will be developed in consultation between course coordinator/lecturer and students. Major topic areas may include but are not limited to;

  1. Research/scholarship in HRM.
  2. Theory in HRM.
  3. Theory application to contemporary HRM issues.

Requisites

This course is only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Honours) program.

Assumed Knowledge

Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Scoial Science or Bachelor of Arts with a major in HRM or related filed

If sufficient number of students are enrolled then seminars will be held each fortnight, otherwise students will undertake individual supervision. All students will complete the self directed learning component of this course.
