This course will explore the thoughts and influence of a range of highly influential traditional and classical figures across a diverse set of areas of study. Broadly speaking, these figures will be presented as representing the growth and development of the areas of study we now know as philosophy, religion, and theology. Such exploration is designed to introduce students to foundational concepts and issues addressed in these areas of study and to provide insight into the methods that are typically employed by them.

Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate:
1. An understanding of key influential traditional and classical figures who have shaped the areas of study of philosophy, religion, and theology
2. Skills in studying and analysing concepts and issues in the areas of study in question
3. Competence interpreting historical and contextual factors at work within the disciplines in question
4. Communication and information technology skills appropriate to the presentation of concepts, issues, ideas and beliefs that are to be found in the disciplines in question.
Content
The course will explore the thoughts and influence of a range of most important and influential figures across traditional and classical cultural traditions whose work has had major impact on the development of philosophical, religious, and theological thought, and may include examination of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous perspectives.
