Introduces some basic principles of engineering mechanics in as simple a manner as possible. The course covers a basic introduction to both statics and dynamics. Emphasis is placed upon the gaining of real understanding of the laws and principles of mechanics.
| Objectives | At the end of the course the student will have: - a basic understanding of the laws and principles of mechanisms. - the ability to analyse and solve simple problems in mechanics. - an understanding of the assumptions and limitations of the approach used. |
