EPMANC170 Microeconomic Principles is designed to develop an understanding of key microeconomic concepts and an awareness of the broad theoretical foundations and contemporary economic problems and issues facing individuals, firms, financial institutions and government sectors.
| Objectives | Students will: 1. gain a sound knowledge and understanding of microeconomic terms, concepts and relationships. 2. develop academic skills in effective analysis, synthesis and evaluation of microeconomic information from a variety of sources. 3. communicate economic information, ideas and issues in appropriate forms. 4. work independently and in groups to evaluate the consequences of contemporary microeconomic problems. 5. develop an appreciation of the concepts of microeconomic principles as relevant, useful and transferable in particular to business and commerce courses at a tertiary level. 6. develop skills related to research and academic writing for different purposes and audiences. |
