This course builds on the knowledge acquired in EPHUMA111 Professional Practice 1. Using a combination of guest speakers, lectures and visits to organisations this course develops the students' awareness of the theory and practice of various professions.
| Objectives | Students will learn to: 1. apply theoretical knowledge to the clinical, practical and/or organisational setting. 2. examine the profession, identifying areas of relevance, and make more informed decisions about an area to study. 3. develop an understanding of assessment procedures that provide a foundation for further study. 4. develop skills in interviewing clients and reporting information. 5. develop skills in team and confidence building and time management skills. 6. interact with practitioners in the professions to integrate knowledge and practice. |

| Content | The main components of this course will be: 1. The application of theoretical knowledge to the clinical, practical and/or organisational setting. 2. Provision of the opportunity to interact with practitioners in various professions in tutorial and clinical settings in order to integrate knowledge and practice and also further understand the roles of care providers and other professionals. 3. The introduction of students to basic skills such as interviewing clients and reporting this information to the relevant professionals. 4. A practical introduction to the functions of the government and non-government. |
