Climate change is a leading environmental and public policy issue in Australia and globally. This course will explain the use of impact assessment methodology in assisting policymakers, business and the community better understand the likely consequences of climate change at various spatial and temporal levels. This course will provide an overview of project-based and strategic assessment approaches and analysis of key policy debates on climate change within Australia and Internationally.
| Objectives | On successful completion of this course, students will have: 1. an understanding of impact assessment methodology and its application to public policymaking on climate change. 2. Acquire an insight into the nature and use of impact assessment techniques and the current public policy issues within Australia and internationally on the human response to climate change. |
