This course will consist of a series of lectures and/or experimental/laboratory work in an area of advanced contemporary interest. The content and availability of the course may vary from year to year according to developments in technology and the presence of academic visitors.

Objectives
* To give students the opportunity to study new areas of research and new technologies in Electrical Engineering which are introduced by existing or visiting academic staff
* To present current and emerging research issues in Electrical Engineering
* To expose students to developments in Electrical Engineering that are not already covered in other courses
