Introduces students to advanced concepts in computer architecture and design emphasing quantitative methods for performance evaluation. Topics include performance measures and cost, instruction set architecture, pipelining, instruction-level parallelism, caches, multiprocessors, interconnection networks, high speed printed circuit board design.

Objectives

The students will also gain further experience in group learning through project work.
