This course is designed to develop students' understanding of the ways in which children learn in the Creative Arts and the PDHPE learning areas.

Objectives By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the content required to teach in the Creative Arts and PDHPE key learning areas;
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Creative Arts and PDHPE syllabi and how they can be implemented in schools;
- Demonstrate a range of strategies appropriate to the delivery of these key learning areas;
- Demonstrate an understanding of integrated programming for sequential skill development;
- Develop appropriate procedures for the assessment and evaluation of students' achievements.

- Programming in the Creative Arts and PDHPE learning areas
- Teaching strategies suitable for the Creative Arts and PDHPE learning areas
- Assessment in the Creative Arts and PDHPE learning areas
- Evaluating teaching programs in the Creative Arts and PDHPE learning areas
- Current resources for teaching in the Creative Arts and PDHPE learning areas
- Current issues in the Creative Arts and PDHPE learning areas
Replacing Course(s) EDUC6702 (5 units) and EDUC6703 (5 units)
Transition Students who fail EDUC6702 or EDUC6703 or have to complete either course will take EDUC6801 instead.
